DBA

• Install and configure MySQL servers, especially 5.0/5.1, including advanced configuration, replication, and high-availability
• Monitor and troubleshoot MySQL servers using various tools
• Maintain a secure DB server using standard and advanced techniques
• Install and manage MySQL services such as backup, replication, recovery
• Manage MySQL performance, via both configuration and networking,including iptables
• Manage MySQL high-availability using replication, LVS, log-shipping, and DRDB
• Use other tools such as MySQL Admin, MySQL Query Analyzer, and MySQL Workbench, plus third party products
• Teach other staff key skills for basic and advanced DB administration
• Create and update accurate system documentation
• Accurately track their time for billing
• Always provide excellent professional service to customers

• At least 2 years of in-depth MySQL system administration experience in production environments
• Knowledge of MySQL basic concepts, commands, and administration
• Knowledge of server security, threats, and management
• Experience with the most of the tools and systems listed above in Responsibilities
• Experience troubleshooting problems in every server area such as crashes, stability, and performance
• Be willing to do overtime job as needed for projects & production systems maintenance requirements
• Strong analytical, problem solving, self study, teamwork and user support skills/attitudes are required
• Effective spoken and written English and Chinese communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with end-users, peers and management and provide technical leadership as needed
